Phuket Pearl (GBR 30') Sophie Grigson and her guide Yui are heading to Pang Nha, after stopping in Phuket Town for breakfast, Phuket-style, touring the lovely old town and making a stop at the famous Put Jaw and Jui Tui temples. Later, they make their way to the Muslim Sea-Gypsy village which is built on stilts and clinging to one of the startling and weird rock islands that dot Pang Nha Bay. Leaving the village Sophie and Yui take in the stunning natural islands that are famous for having featured in the James Bond movie, 'Man With the Golden Gun'. As they head back towards Phuket harbour Sophie and Yui stop off at Rang Yai Island and have a look at the lovely pearl farm.

Chiang Mai - Ancient Charms (GBR 30') Sophie Grigson and Yui find themselves way up north in the ancient city of Chiang Mai, a bustling little city perched in the hills near the Burmese border. Their first port of call is the fabulous silver temple of Wat Sri Suphan. Later they head for Just Khao Soy, a restaurant run by Irishman, Shane Beary, before having a cruise on the Ping River. Then it's time for cocktails and what better place than the trendy bar at their hotel, the Dusit2. Having refreshed themselves, Sophie and Yui head back out to the famous Chiang Mai Night Market before finally enjoying themselves at a venerable Khantoke dinner restaurant.

In just four days Bob Blumer will have to learn how to roll, toss, stretch and bake pizza, before he goes up against bona fide pizzaiolos as they are being judged by a panel of local experts.

The best is yet to come, though, as Floyd takes a microlite to Victoria Falls, a canoe to Livingstone Island and a plane to Kruger National Park! Once back in Chiang Mai there is just time to visit the Warorot Market, one of the most accessible local markets before heading to the Chiang Mai train station to board the overnight train heading south to Bangkok.

Sophie takes a relaxed break learning how to make Massaman Curry and then grabs Yui to board their own rice barge. Floating down the Chao Praya River at dusk is a special experience and made even better as Yui cooks up a storm for Sophie in the galley. They are then off to the famous Thai Boxing arena, before Yui finally takes Sophie up to Latitude, the fifty-first floor open-air bar at the Banyan Tree, a lovely place to say their farewells before Sophie takes off back to Oxford.

Chilean Patagonia (GBR, 2012) Here Charlie explores the southern Lake district, which has a strong German influence, before travelling along the 'Salmon Route', surrounded by snow-capped volcanoes and pristine fjords. Other highlights include a visit to the beautiful scenery of Chilean Patagonia and a tour of one of the most luxurious geothermal spa hotels in the world.

Edible Car Race (/CAN, 2010 30') Presented by Bob Blumer Bob Blumer loves cars and food but he has never combined them before. Now is his chance when he is pitted against elite engineering students in the Edible Car Competition at Brown University, an Ivy League school in Rhode Island. Students build and race vehicles made entirely out of food - ranging from loaves of bread to butternut squash. Bob also has the chance to witness how the food is repurposed back into the land through compost and sustainability plans while touring local farms and working at Brown University's own cafeteria. Can Bob outwit some of the brightest students to create the ultimate speed racer, or will he be left in the dust by a vehicle made out of rice cakes and zucchini?

New England (GBR, 2012) This region of the United States boasts Old World Charm and New World sophistication and a visit in the autumn months guarantees a fantastic display of 'fall-time' beauty. Megan McCormick's journey begins in Plymouth, site of the first Pilgrim community in America. From here we make for Boston, the lively hub of New England, there's a quick visit to Harvard, a college football game and some delicious local oysters. Heading out of town Megan meets some witches in Salem, eats at the original hamburger stand in New Haven, and checks out a biker convention in Danbury, Connecticut. Then it's north to Maine for some rafting and lobster, before catching the sun in New Englands' summer playground - Martha's Vineyard.

At the Oktoberfest she samples the best of German beers, and the Weisswurst - Bavaria's very own sausage. In Berlin she discovers the two sides of the capital, tasting both the new and sophisticated cuisine as well as the nostalgic produce that originated from the former GDR.

Heading over to the island of Gozo, Bob lends a slightly disastrous hand at the goat farm of local slow food champion Rikkardo. Back on Malta, Bob meets a local journalist and activist who enlightens him to the issue of bird hunting and wildlife on Malta, and decides to volunteer as a labourer for a day with Birdlife Malta, before rewarding himself for all his hard labour by booking a private sailing trip to the third island in the Maltese trio.

Ultimate Indo-China (GBR, 2012) A combination of war and government policy kept tourists out but by the end of the 20th century the red doors to Indo-China opened to reveal a unique destination untouched by the Western world. Our travel guides through this corner of South East Asia are Zay Harding, Ian Wright, Justine Shapiro and Megan McCormack. We begin our trek in Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, followed by Cambodia and the Asian nightlife of Phnom Phen. Zay takes us motocycling through Vietnam, Justin and Megan board the historic Reunification Express train to Hanoi and Ian opts for a boat trip down the mighty Mekong. We see the scars of war, stroll amongst some of the most beautiful temples in Asia, experience the Buddhist full moon celebrations in Laos and enjoy the New Year festivities in Vietnam

One-Man Band (/CAN 30') Presented by Bob Blumer Bob Blumer has one week to train with Daniel Rose, proud of owner of a boutique restaurant in Paris. While other venues typically employ a "brigade de cuisine" headed by the chef, Daniel runs it all himself, from shopping for all the ingredients, cooking and serving the food to cleaning up. At the end of the week Bob will take all that over - but can he uphold the restaurant's reputation on a night when a dozen Parisian food critics are also taking notes?

17:30 Flavours of Peru

The Northern Coast (GBR, 2012) Peru's north coast boasts more pyramids than Egypt and the richest waters in the world. Charlie follows in the wake of Hemingway and goes deep sea angling with the help of a few hundred dolphins. He also hangs out in the tropical resort of Mancora, the top surf spot in Peru and tours the ancient tombs of the King of Sipan, known as the Tutankhamen of Latin America. Next we visit the pyramids of El Brujo, conveniently situated next to the Cartavio rum distillery, which Charlie discovers is also open to the public. Travelling south we reach the legendary Temples of the Sun and Moon and tries out two local methods of transport - the paso horse and the ancient reed boat.

After catching a gig by the godfather of Senegalese music, Youssou N'Dour, Zoe learns about the harsh reality of poverty in Senegal, when she meets one of the thousands of Senegalese who over recent years have risked their lives attempting the perilous illegal journey in small fishing boats to Europe in search of a better life.Leaving Dakar, Zoe travels deep into the interior of Senegal, stopping off at the Muslim holy city of Touba, en route to the Niokola-Koba National Park.
